There are many benefits of
the AVL/GPS system, these including personal and vehicle safety, emergency,
management/productivity and many more. INTERNAV Tracking software used
for this purpose has many features and is continuously improved wherever
possible.
In addition to Tracking,
INTERNAV is also able to control various other important functions as well
as various alerts both to and from vehicle. The I/O sensors provided
on the hardware can be activated either automatically or manually, e.g., in
case of an emergency driver needs help, vehicle safety, theft, opening
doors, trunk, etc. All these alerts including vehicle position and the
ID of the vehicle will be displayed automatically at Operator's Dispatcher's
PC with an audible alert. Operator can also control various functions
in the vehicle via inputs sensors such as stop engine, turn lights
on/off, horn on/off, turn microphone, etc.
It is also possible to
utilise Voice facility with the above systems.
| Mapping |
| A proper map
required for Tracking purpose complete with Latitude/Longitude grid
or Easting/Northing (AMG) grid so it can be registered
(geo-referenced) with INTERNAV Tracking software. If there are
no digital maps available then the paper maps can be scanned.
This is providing the paper maps are complete with all coordinates,
latitude and longitude. |
